What is Little Nightmares 2 about?

A young boy named Mono experiences a dream where he sees a door with an eye at the end of a hallway. He then wakes up near a TV in the Wilderness and covers his head with a nearby paper bag with holes for eyes. While exploring the forest, Mono stumbles upon many traps and corpses of people who accidentally fell into them, eventually leading him to a house. In one of the hidden rooms, he finds Six (without her raincoat), who had somehow made it to shore following her escape from the Maw. She immediately runs away after rejecting Mono's help. In pursuit of her, Mono encounters people who have been turned into effigies, which clearly scares him. Near the attic, he catches up to Six and again offers to help her. Six agrees, realizing that she cannot escape alone. Together, they navigate through the house and sneak past the Hunter, who lives in the house. Upon exiting the house, the Hunter hears them and, taking a shotgun and flashlight with him, he sets off in pursuit of the children, nearly killing them until they both hide in a small cave.
